I love photographing babies no matter the location and am often asked what the difference is between a studio and lifestyle session…

Lifestyle Sessions are organic in nature as they use your home as the backdrop. We focus on posing that is natural for the baby and parents. This involves lots of snuggles, holding, and rocking. I love to capture every detail of baby's features like his or her tiny lips, toes, and eyelashes...as well as the nursery that you spent so much time putting together. 

Fresh 48 Sessions are perfect for families who wish to have their baby’s first few days of life documented and who do not necessarily want to have their entire birth or labor captured. These sessions are held in the comforts of your hospital room and really focus on all the firsts! I will arrive to the hospital within 48 hours after your baby’s birth and will capture photos in a very candid way as they occur naturally. I will not be using props or posing the baby but I will be capturing all the important in between moments of you with your baby. I will also be documenting sweet family meetings, pediatrician check ups, baby’s first bath and or feedings, and diaper changes while still focusing in on baby’s perfect little features like his/her bellybutton, hands, feet, hair etc. These sessions are a good way to preserve all those first milestones that will soon be lost in the “baby moon” fog.

Studio Sessions take place in my in-home studio and are a lot more posed. We'll spend a lot of time soothing your baby into sweet poses that bring out his or her features. These sessions incorporate a variety of props and backdrops like headbands, wraps, buckets, bowls, swaddles, and more! Studio sessions are the perfect it for parents who love the artistic touch of posed newborn photography!
